Melbourne Camera Club wins Inter-club competition organised by Camberwell Camera Club

Congratulations to all our members who contributed their images in the Inter-club competition run by Camberwell Camera Club. MCC won the interclub competition by 3 points beating 3 other clubs that competed in this competition 

A great result for the club, the competition committee and all members, and a great effort team!

Well done Camberwell Camera Club on holding another successful Inter-club competition. 

 

2018 Travel Photography Exhibition

We are thrilled to announce our first Members Theme Photography Exhibition for 2018 is our Travel Photography Exhibition. 

Showcasing the work of our well traveled Melbourne Camera Club members, our exhibition will be run over two levels. Prints on display in our upstairs gallery coupled with digital images projected downstairs in the studio for one exciting weekend, Saturday May 19 & Sunday May 20. 

May 2018 Photowalk Community - Autumn Colours in Dandenong Ranges

Our May photowalk will be held in the Dandenong Ranges to capture the Autumn colours that will be around at this time of the year.

We will meet inside the main gates of Alfred Nicholas Memorial Gardens (1A Sherbrooke Rd, Sherbrooke) at 1pm – for a 1.15pm start on Sunday 6 MAY 2018 . 
The current weather forecast is for showers and we will still go ahead if this is the case as you may get interesting images.

World Pinhole Photography Day 2018

Interested in building a Pinhole camera and taking some images for World Pinhole Photography Day? 
Come along to a free workshop run by two of our members - Shane Booth and Selby Markham.

If you are interested in building a pinhole camera please bring along a small gift box - 125mm (w) x 100mm (d) x 50mm to 100mm (h). This small gift box with lid can be purchased from a $2.00 shop. All other materials will be supplied.

The Glennie Nature Competition 2018

The Melbourne Camera Club congratulates the following members who won an award and gained acceptances at the The Glennie Nature Competition held in U.S.A

Lesley Bretherton’s image “Jokulsarlon Lagoon Midnight” won Best in Category - Landscape.

Jane Barnes’ image “Say Ah” received a merit in Reptiles.

Tuck Leong’s image “Crepidotus Nephrodes” received a merit in Botany.

Marg Huxtable’s image “Soldiering On” received a merit in Marine Life.

Portrait Masterclass - 13 May 2018

The next portrait Master Class, to be held on Sunday May 13, 2018 from 1:00pm to 6:00pm.

With a maximum of 10 photographers, there will be 2 professional models, make-up artists and 3 hours of photography. If you are into portrait shooting then this is for you. 

This event is now FULL. You can register now to waitlist for the August 11 Class.  Everyone on the waitlist will be offered priority booking.  Cost is $90 for club members, or $130 for non-members.
