World Pinhole Day - 28 April 2019 - 10am

Our annual World Pinhole Photography Day workshop will be open to the public, all visitors and members are welcome.

If you are interested in building a pinhole camera please bring along a small gift box - 125mm (w) x 100mm (d) x 50mm to 100mm (h). This small gift box with lid can be purchased from a $2.00 shop. All other materials will be supplied.

Photowalk Community - April 2019 - Record attendance

Wow!!!! a record breaking 65 people attended the talk & photowalk yesterday with around 40 people staying for dinner...

Photowalk – in partnership with ‘FilmNeverDie’ and MCC Analogue Group: Sunday 7 April

Our April Photowalk will be held in partnership with FilmNeverDie and the MCC Analogue Group – an afternoon for both analogue and digital photographers.

2019 International Womens Day

The Melbourne Camera Club is excited to share our 2019 International Women's Day Exhibition of Photography. We are showcasing the work of over 70 women photographers, exploring the theme, 'The Female Gaze'.

Exhibition is open to the public from 10am to 4pm
Entry is FREE. All visitors are welcome

Photowalk – Sunday 3 March, Melbourne Zoo, in partnership with MCC Nature Group

Our March Photowalk will be held in partnership with the MCC Nature Group, we will be spending the afternoon at the Melbourne Zoo. This is a good opportunity to capture images for the upcoming nature exhibition (to be held in May). Join us to learn more about nature photography and some insights into capturing animals and their environment.

Note that the exhibits close at 4.30pm and the Zoo closes at 5.00pm.

We will finish with dinner/drinks at a nearby pub. 

February 2019 Photowalk - Shadows, Street and Architecture

Our first Photowalk for this year will be held in Melbourne city – covering Flagstaff Gardens, Queen Victoria Market and the buildings and architecture in the vicinity of Victoria/Swanston Sts – with opportunities to capture photos for the upcoming set subjects: Shadows (February) and Street Photography (March). We will finish with dinner/drinks near Swanston St. There may also be time for photos after dinner, and possibly sunset, depending on our dinner location.
