DesignWyze Presentation - "Demystifying Colour Management"
As an alternative Digital Group activity for March, DesignWyze Australia will be presenting a seminar on Colour Management. The cost is $10 per person, payable on the night and is open to both MCC members and non-members.
In this seminar, you will learn how to use the Photoshop and printer colour settings, and how to increase image quality through custom ICC colour profiles.
Program
- Demonstrate how a non-"colour managed" workflow is unnecessary and frustrating;
- Profile/calibrate a printer;
- Tutorial on PhotoShop colour print settings;
- Profile/calibrate monitor;
- PhotoShop soft-proofing;
- Tutorial on viewing conditions for monitor and prints;
- Tutorial on input and output profiles.
Equipment
- Epson R2400 printer;
- Mac with inexpensive display (Samsung);
- Eye One display and/or Colormunki;
- Eye One pro photo and/or Colormunki;
- Solux ambient lighting;
- PhotoShop CS3.
DesignWyze will be printing a prize-winning club image to A1 size.
