Victoria Barracks
Wednesday, 05 August 2009, 09:30 - 12:00 Hits : 962

The next MCC monthly outing for all members is on Wednesday 5th of August at the Victoria Barracks (not Tuesday as usual). As always, Camberwell members are welcome to attend.

We commence with an early start at 9:30am for a guided tour. Cost for the tour is $5.00 per person, payable on the day. The tour covers the rich history and heritage of the Barracks since its occupation in 1856, including its use during WW2 as Menzies and Curtin's War Cabinet Room. It is a two-hour walking tour that involves some climbing of stairs, and is not suitable for persons with restricted mobility.

Security requires all visitors to provide personal identification (preferably photo ID, eg. driver's licence), and cameras are not allowed.
