Replaces regular 1st Tuesday event - no event now on October 6.
The Ballarat International Foto Biennale celebrates photography with a diverse program that showcases the work of high calibre national and international practitioners. Most of the Core Program exhibitions are staged at venues in and around Ballarat's Arts precinct, all within five minutes walking distance of each other and close to the train station. Entry to these venues is free of charge. For further details and locations, visit: http://www.ballaratfoto.org .
Meet at 10:50am at the Ballarat Mining Exchange, 12 Lydiard Street (programs are available at the Information Kiosk). As there are several venues to visit (including lunch), we suggest everyone brings their mobile phone to stay in touch with the group.
Folks wishing to travel with the group by V/Line train should meet at the Southern Cross Station (Spencer Street) at 9:00am for departure at 9:08am. Return tickets cost $20.80 (or $10.40 concession).
Alternatively, the next V/Line train departs Southern Cross at 10:08am, so any latecomers could catch up with the group in the Ballarat Mining Exchange, say, at around 11:50am. On late arrival, please call the group coordinator, John (0407 874 001), to confirm the joining arrangements.
Return trains depart Ballarat at 3:14pm and 3:58pm.
A great day is anticipated for all !
