CAMBERWELL CAMERA CLUB OUTING
The next outing for all CCC and MCC members will be on Tuesday 21 September at the Maranoa Gardens, Balwyn.
Commencing in nearby Iramoo Street, Balwyn for coffee, this street is of interest as it is lined with Angophora Costata. These spectacular trees are evergreen, they flower and have the most interesting trunks. They make a great subject for Australiana competitions.
We will then proceed to Maranoa Gardens (Melway 46 F7) the entrance to which is in Parring Rd. Balwyn; although you can also enter via Yarrbat Ave. These gardens were founded in 1901 and are one of very few Botanic Gardens in Australia dedicated to Native plants. Adjacent to the gardens are some interesting dwellings which may attract your photographic interest.
