Grace Lock Discussion Group

This group was established in July 2017 and meets at 7:30pm on the first Wednesday of the month at the clubrooms.

The discussion group is named after the second female president of the Melbourne Camera Club, who held office in 1974.  She was a highly honoured photographer in Australia, which included the Honorary Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society.

The discussion group is focused on women photographers and is designed to provide a forum for discussion of personal projects and the creation of portfolios or a body of work as well as the work of other women photographers.  It is focused on exploring our visual expression in a like-minded group in a non-competitive way.    Participants are encouraged to bring along an idea or images from their body of work for discussion.

The group coordinator is Sheila Lunter.  If there is a particular topic relating to women photographers you would like to see covered at a future meeting, just send a message to mcc-gracelock@melbournephoto.org.au
