CCC/MCC Mid-Week Outing

Our first Camberwell CC mid-month excursion will be held on Tuesday, 19th February.

We will use the opportunity of the summer weather for a coastal walk along the Port Phillip Bay foreshore at St Kilda- Elwood. There is a sealed pedestrian path along the sand dunes in the midst of attractively planted coastal vegetation with spectacular views of the Bay. From the headland at Pt. Ormond we have the best view of the central Melbourne skyline from anywhere in the Metropolitan Area. So there will be plenty of opportunity to take landscape shots as well as macro images of the flowers and bushes of this coastal environment

We will meet at 10.30am at the Great Provider Café/Restaurant (42A Marine Pde.) at the St Kilda Marina, which faces Marine Parade (Melway 2P A12).

There is ticketed parking at the southern end of the Marina ($6,-), as well as free parallel parking in Dickens St. and Marine Ave.

We will walk as far as the Pt. Ormond Café and return. The whole walk, including stops for taking pictures, takes about one hour. For lunch we can either have a snack at the Pt. Ormond Café, or at the end of our walk back at the Best Provider Restaurant.

Is there a better way of spending a beautiful (hopefully!) summer’s day? Please come, the more the merrier.
