World Pin Hole Day activities - April 25th

The Melbourne Camera Club celebrates World Wide Pinhole Day on Sunday April 25th 2010.

A workshop will be held in the club rooms on the corner of Dorcas and Ferrars Streets, South Melbourne.

MCC Entries Close April 8 for Austrian Super Circuit 2010

The Melbourne Camera Club has won awards in 2005, 2006, 2007,2008, 2009 at the Austrian Super Circuit competition.

VAPS Interclub Competition 2010

VAPS runs an Interclub Competition each year in conjunction with the VAPS Muster (Convention) in which clubs compete for perpetual trophies, and individuals also gain awards.

The aim of the competition is to encourage and improve photography throughout Victoria, and to facilitate the comparison of standards between both clubs and members.

Categories of competition include:
• Open prints
• Novice prints
• Slides
• Audio-visual
• Digital images

Melbourne Camera Club's Entries close on Thursday 11 March. This years convention is at Apollo Bay from May 22-24.

Studio as Exhibition Space

The Board has agreed to the use of the Studio as a hanging spaces for prints . They have asked that the Stairs as a hanging space be coordinated along with the Studio.  This will begin immediately and I will take on the role of coordinator of these spaces.

Peter Myers new Executive Officer for AIPP

Friday 27th November, 2009 – The Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Myers to the newly created position of Executive Officer.

Peter comes to the AIPP with a wealth of experience and knowledge. A self confessed “enthusiast” when it comes to still photography, Peter shares a love of video and still photography with both AIPP members and the photographic industry. Peter has professional experience in videography after establishing his own business shooting weddings and undertaking corporate video productions in the 1990s.

Peter Myers is a member of the Melbourne Camera Club and Glen Waverley Camera Clubs.
