VAPS runs an Interclub Competition each year in conjunction with the
VAPS Muster (Convention) in which clubs compete for perpetual trophies,
and individuals also gain awards.
The aim of the competition is to
encourage and improve photography throughout Victoria, and to facilitate
the comparison of standards between both clubs and members.
Categories
of competition include:
• Open prints
• Novice prints
•
Slides
• Audio-visual
• Digital images
Melbourne Camera Club's Entries close on Thursday 11 March. This years convention is at Apollo Bay from May 22-24.
The Board has agreed to the use of the Studio as a
hanging spaces for prints . They have asked that the Stairs as a hanging space
be coordinated along with the Studio.
This will begin immediately and I will take on the role of coordinator
of these spaces.
Friday 27th November, 2009 – The Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Myers to the newly created position of Executive Officer.
Peter comes to the AIPP with a wealth of experience and knowledge. A self confessed “enthusiast” when it comes to still photography, Peter shares a love of video and still photography with both AIPP members and the photographic industry. Peter has professional experience in videography after establishing his own business shooting weddings and undertaking corporate video productions in the 1990s.
Peter Myers is a member of the Melbourne Camera Club and Glen Waverley Camera Clubs.
