The Melbourne Camera Club has renamed the Projected Image Competition (which included both slide and EDI entries) to become the EDI competition (ie an EDI only competition - without slide entries).

Also, the Open EDI competition is now a graded competition

• A-grade for members with proficiency and experience in EDI entries.
• B-grade for the remaining members who wish to participate in this competition.

The Set-subject EDI competition remains ungraded.

Format and Presentation of EDI Competition Entries

• Entrants must have made the original exposure, and any digital manipulation of the image.
• Images should be formatted to project within an image area of 1200x1200 pixels (maximum width and height dimensions).
• File should be 1MB or smaller.
• File should be saved in sRGB colour space.
• File should be saved as JPEG files
• Entries may be presented with a title, however the title will not be seen by the judge and only used for later display of the image.
• The file name for web submission is not important, as the system will rename the file on upload anyway.
• For CD submission, you must make clear which of the images submitted (if any) is for set subject.

EDI images can be submitted in 2 ways, by CD on Print Competition night, or by internet upload. Email submissions will no longer be accepted.

New rules on submission of entries to Print and EDI competitions:

• The same image may not be entered in both the Print and EDI competitions in the same month;
• An image may not be entered in any monthly competition if it has received a Commended or Highly Commended Award in any previous monthly competition.
