And the winners are...
Image The prize for best Team Photo Essay at the MCC's 2009 End of Year Competition went to a team from the Traditional Darkroom Printmakers Group for an essay documenting the activities at the group's photographic excursion to the Grampians in October 2009, of course with traditional darkroom prints from film!

November 2009 meeting
Image The last meeting for 2009 was well-attended and found members first seated in the studio to take the members' survey and look at some examples of Mordançage/Bleach Etch, before moving on into the darkroom to witness the hands-on process.

MCC Printmakers at Michaels
Image The official opening for the 9th Annual Traditional Darkroom Printmakers Exhibition at Michaels Alpha Gallery is scheduled for Friday, 6th November, 6.30pm .

Darkroom Basics Classes
Image Kerry Monro has been running Darkroom Basics classes for over a year now, with very good attendance and success. The classes are for all MCC members who are just starting out in the darkroom, as well as those who would like to revisit basic principles of darkroom work. They are free of charge, but members-only and registration is mandatory.

Film Photography Excursion
Image The Traditional Darkroom Printmakers Group is organising an excursion to the Grampians on the weekend 3-4 October 2009, to do film photography. Most of us will be going on Friday evening, some on Saturday morning. Registration until 28 September 2009 at the latest.

Medium & Large Format films...
Image After the resounding success of the Introduction to Medium and Large Format Photography workshop that Barrie Bunning ran on 19th September , with the friendly help of Selby, Kerry, Tim, Jess and the lovely model Amy, we're now going to process all those films at our monthly meeting, under the tutelage of Selby Markham. All welcome.
