Enrolments open for next round of darkroom basics classes |
The next round of darkroom basics classes starts on Monday 14th of June, we are now accepting enrolments!
The classes are free for members and have been run by Kerry and the Traditional Printmakers Group over the past year with great success. If you are interested in learning about traditional black and white film development and darkroom printing, or if you have done printing in the past and want a refresher course then these classes are a must for you.

Historic & Interesting Stations Photo Excursion |
The TDPG is organising a day long excursion that will cover a sample of
the historic and interesting stations and railway infrastructure around
the Melbourne metropolitan railway system.
Sunday 16th May starting at 8.30am from Flinders Street station meeting at the front steps.

The prize for best Team Photo Essay at the MCC's 2009 End of Year Competition went to a team from the Traditional Darkroom Printmakers Group for an essay documenting the activities at the group's photographic excursion to the Grampians in October 2009, of course with traditional darkroom prints from film! |

The last meeting for 2009 was well-attended and found members first seated in the studio to take the members' survey and look at some examples of Mordançage/Bleach Etch, before moving on into the darkroom to witness the hands-on process.

Kerry Monro has been running Darkroom Basics classes for over a year now, with
very good attendance and success. The classes are for all MCC members who are just
starting out in the darkroom, as well as those who would like to
revisit basic principles of darkroom work. They are free of charge, but members-only and registration is mandatory.
